Neenyi Ghartey VII Is Introduced to The New Vice-Chancellor By UEW Management

 The Paramount Chief of the Effutu traditional area and Chancellor of the university, Neenyi Ghartey VII, has been introduced to the new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, by the management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

The ceremony, which was held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, highlighted the connection between the institution and the neighborhood and the university's dedication to community participation

In his remarks, Neenyi Ghartey VII expressed his gratitude to the University Management for making the effort to pay him a visit and formally introduce the new Vice-Chancellor to him and his entourage.

"We sincerely appreciate your openness in updating us on institutional happenings, which demonstrates your sincere dedication to partnership. We express our best wishes for the incoming Vice-Chancellor's successful tenure as we welcome him, and we request heavenly protection to direct his attentive leadership. We look forward to collaborating to strengthen our university, he said.

Neenyi Ghartey VII lauded the university's contributions to the regional economy and pledged the community's assistance in helping the university regain its rightful position as an internationally renowned center for teacher training and research.



Prof. Mitchual responded by attributing his position to a heavenly calling rather than his own free will. He emphasized once more his will to perform his tasks with the utmost fairness and competence.

According to tradition, the paramount chief of the Effutu Traditional Council and his entourage were given some bottles of Schnapps and other items by the management of the University of Edinburgh's College for Distance and e-Learning (CODeL), under the direction of Prof. Frimpong Kaakyire Duku.  

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Victor Antwi, the Assistant Registrar, Mrs. Wilhelmina Tete-Mensah, the Finance Officer, Dr. Theophilus Senyo Ackorlie, and the Principal, College of Languages Education, Prof. Dominic K. Danso Mensah, were also in attendance as members of the Management team.
